It felt like we spent most of July on the road as we took our first Kurian-Family-of-Four Road Trip 2009!
Our first vacation stop was in Virginia Beach, where we stayed for 2 nights. It was very relaxing and we all got our beach "fix".
We arrived in NY on July 3rd and watched the fireworks at Jones Beach on the 4th. The next day we celebrated Jacob's birthday.
That week we stayed with Jamilla's family in Nanuet, NY and visited Jenna & Hannah in West Hartford, CT on our way to Boston. During our 2-night stay in Boston we visited Boston Common and did some other touristy stuff.
Afterwards, we headed back to New York, went to Sanjay's family reunion (in Staten Island), stayed with our friends the Ipes (in New Jersey), ate lunch with Sanjay's cousins in Philly and slowly made our way down the east coast as we headed back home. We arrived back in Fort Myers on July 12th.
During the second half of the month we visited our friends in Port St. Lucie on the way to Orlando. We stayed at the Florida Mall Hotel (which Alisha enjoyed because she got to visit M&Ms world every single day).
I wish I had more pictures to share from our travels (especially from Jacob's birthday party) but the flash on my camera was hit-or-miss (mostly miss). Fortunately that problem was solved with the purchase of my Canon T1i towards the end of the month.
So now I'm back in business!
