June was another busy month in the Kurian household.

The month began with me in New York for my uncle's funeral. Achen Appachen flew in from India and his son/my cousin Shinju (in the first picture) came from the Middle East. In the second picture is a sleeping Jacob on our flight back to Fort Myers.

Jacob has perfected his "CHEESE"y smile so you'll see him posing for the camera quite a bit this month.

Check out Jacob trying out both his mommy's sandals and his daddy's shoes. He is quite the comedian.

On June 12th, we celebrated both Alisha's 8th birthday and Jacob's 2nd birthday. We even splurged for a princess bounce house, a total surprise for Alisha! Alisha picked a "Princess and the Frog" theme for her cake and since Jacob loves Elmo we got him an Elmo cake. Gizmo (my brother's dog) came for the party and enjoyed a bath, as well as the attention of all Alisha's 2nd grade friends. You'll also see Reggie & Sneha's daughter, Nithya, in some pics. Jacob has a special place in his heart for this 12 month-old princess. When she came to visit, Jacob gave her hugs and kisses galore! Hopefully I'll get a picture of them together one of these days.

We (or maybe it's just me) are big on birthdays so, in case you're wondering, both Alisha & Jacob enjoyed 2 cakes for their birthdays: Alisha had a Carvel ice cream cake on her actual birthday and the princess cake for her birthday PARTY. In addition to Jacob's Elmo cake, Jim and Tami bought a cake for him at the end of the month so we could celebrate Jacob's 2nd birthday a couple of days early :)

This month we went on, what is now turning into, our annual road trip up north. We celebrated Jacob's official 2nd birthday (for the 3rd time, but without a cake) in Philly. That kid sure loves his gelato!
